Social media tips 2023

Instagram and Facebook change so frequently that you’ve really got to keep on top of your game to match the pace. That’s why having a social media manager like ourselves can really help keep your audience engaged and assist you with your business goals. Here are some simple but effective best practices for social media in 2023:

Post regularly and consistently

Ideally, you want to be posting a carousel or reel on your grid every day. I’d opt for carousel to make up the bulk of your week’s posts as Instagram looks to be favouring this currently and they’re a lot less time consuming to make than reels.

The time you schedule your content matters

Make sure you post at the optimum time of day when users are statistically more likely to be online. This is particularly useful for Instagram stories.

Make your content visually appealing

Steer clear of overlaying text at an angle, messy logos and using multiple fonts. Make sure the images you use are good quality, your text is placed horizontally instead of at an angle and try to choose one font and stick with it. Keep your style consistent, people will find your brand more memorable that way too.

Don’t oversell

Avoid making every post a sales pitch with a call to action, this is great to mix in with your scheduled content and proves effective but can be off putting if that’s all your content is. Don’t be afraid to make your content personal, time and time again we’ve shown businesses that audiences are more likely to engage with authentic content and people love to see faces. So don’t be shy! Introduce yourself to your followers!
